Using said command might result in some weird zooming feature when talking with NPCs but it ought to be alright and doesn't seem to interfere with long-term gameplay. That seems to be a lot easier to do and I suggest doing that instead of selecting a quest if it makes it easier.Īnd with the cam command, it is really only useful to close dialouge sections that aren't responding so you can be able to then open up your pipboy and place a map marker and/or reload a previous save both of which can allow you to retry the dialouge with the NPC. It should allow you to be able to reset things by allowing you to go back to your pipboy and select a quest.ĮDIT: Also someone previous before me suggested placing a map marker instead. That console command, cam, stands for close all menus. If you ever find yourself in a situation where you can't click any dialouge options or utilize the companion wheel just use this console commannd Whenever the issue comes up involving not being able to click dialouge options or select items just go to your pip-boy and select a quest. This bug is fixed by the next patch 1.2.0.285. Patch 1.1.1.271 introduced a bug - Any creature or non-player character could suddenly become essential. Patch 1.1.1.271 'Everything's Essential' bug. Alright I think I figured out a solution for PC that makes dealing with this problem somewhat bearable. Also note that performance boost caused by 'High Performance / Performance' setting for Fallout: New Vegas is rather negative.
